Birmingham Squadron Sign Ike Anigbogu

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham Squadron have signed forward Ike Anigbogu, the team announced Wednesday.

Anigbogu most recently played professionally for the Squadron during the team’s first season in the Magic City in 2021-22, when he appeared in nine games off the bench and averaged 6.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 14.9 minutes of action per game. He twice scored in double-figures, including a season-high 13 against the Memphis Hustle on Feb. 8, 2022.

The 47th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Anigbogu played in 14 games for the Indiana Pacers over the next two seasons and averaged 0.9 points per contest in 2.7 minutes per game.

A member of the UCLA men’s basketball team for one season in 2016-17, the 6-10 forward helped the Bruins advance to the 2017 Sweet 16 Round of the NCAA Tournament.

Additionally, center Liam Robbins has been moved to a season-ending injury status.

Anigbogu will be active for the Squadron’s game at the Memphis Hustle Thursday evening.
