Birmingham Squadron Local nba g league tryout

The Birmingham Squadron will conduct player tryouts for the 2022-23 NBA G League season on Saturday, September 17th in Birmingham, Alabama.

Players will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of Squadron coaches and front office staff, and they’ll compete for an invitation to the Squadron’s training camp in November.

Interested players must register online and pay the registration fees by Friday, September 16th at 5:00PM CT. All participants must meet the NBA G League eligibility requirements.

Tryouts will be held on Saturday, September 17th at 9:00AM CT.  You will receive more information about the timing of the Tryout prior to September 17th.

Registration Fees:

The non-refundable registration fee is $260. This includes the cost of a tryout jersey.

Registration Process:

In order to register, you must complete the following steps by 5pm CT on September 16th.

    • Fill out and upload the Registration form, Release & Eligibility form, and the Medical Consent & Authorization form. All three forms must be received.
    • Pay all registration fees in full.

Is there an age limit?

You must be at least 18 years old by the tryout date.

How do I register?

All candidates must register online on the Birmingham Squadron website by Friday, September 16th at 5:00pm CT. We will not be accepting walk-up registrations on the day of the event, so please be sure to register online by the deadline.

What kind of previous experience is required?

None! As long as you meet the NBA G League eligibility requirements, you are more than welcome to try out for the team.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes, there is a non-refundable registration fee of $260. This includes the cost of your tryout jersey.

Is the Tryout open to the public?

No. You must pre-register for the tryout online. There will be no onsite registration. Please do not bring any observers with you, as they will not be granted entry to the event.

Can I post photos or videos from the tryout on social media, websites, etc?

You may post footage of yourself; however, you may not post images or video of other participants without their explicit consent. The Birmingham Squadron reserve the right to photograph and/or film the entire tryout process. The Squadron have the rights to use this photography/footage for any purposes they see fit.
