We here at the Birmingham Squadron want to make sure that all fans a prepared for games at Legacy Arena.  Please read this page in its entirety on rules and updates to ensure you’re ready for game day!

Mask Update as of January 8, 2022
As of January 8, 2022, the G-League has temporarily reinstated their mask requirement for all guests seated within 15 feet of the court or benches. If you’re sitting in the heart of the action, this policy extends to your seats. This temporary mandate goes into effect with the January 8th game and will remain in place until conditions improve. You’ll be asked to wear your mask upon entering the seating bowl, and to only remove it when actively eating or drinking.

Birmingham Squadron Postgame Celebration – January 16, 2022

We’re looking forward to hosting you at the spectacular, newly renovated Legacy Arena for some Squadron basketball!

We have an exciting day planned to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.  American Idol, and Birmingham native Ruben Studdard will perform our National Anthem.

Plus, we encourage you to stay for the post game celebration immediately after the buzzer featuring Gospel recording artists Beverly Crawford and Micah Stampley.

Parking
Patrons with parking passes can find directions straight to your parking lot through the Waze app. Legacy Arena is located in downtown Birmingham at the BJCC.  There are more than 10,000 parking spots available within a 10-minute walk of the Legacy Arena.

Bag Policy
For the safety of all guests, Legacy Arena has instituted a clear bag policy. ALL BAGS entering the venue must be smaller than 12” x 12” x 6” and be clear and contents visible to security.   Any bag, purse, or briefcase that is larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″ will not be allowed into the Legacy Arena. This policy will be strictly enforced, and the Legacy Arena is unable to store oversized or prohibited items. An exception will be made for declared medically necessary items, after proper inspection.

  • Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Backpacks (of any size)
  • Cinch bags
  • Oversized luggage
  • Coolers
  • Small clutches and purses are permissible and do not have to be clear, provided that they are no larger than 5” x 7.”

Door Openings and Entrance Times
The A-entry gate, located at the corner of 9th Avenue & 19th Street North is the exclusive entrance to Legacy Arena for Birmingham Squadron games.  This gate will open for ticket holders 1-hour prior to tip-off. We encourage all guests to arrive early to ensure you get to your seat before tip-off.

Cashless Concessions and Merchandise
Legacy Arena is a cashless operation including all concessions, merchandise and parking. The Legacy Arena will accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay. Cash will not be accepted as a form of payment at any parking, retail or concession locations within Legacy Arena.

Catering and Concessions
Outside food and beverages of any kind may not be brought into Legacy Arena.  Legacy Arena offers a wide variety of food and beverage choices.  Concession favorites are offered along with a variety of other selections from specialty vendors.

  • Anvil Grill:
    • Located in Sections 102 & 107- Featuring Burgers, Chicken Tenders and Fries, as well as many other game day favorites.
  • Crossroads Chicken:
    • Located in Section 111- Featuring the Nashville Hot Po Boy and other game day favorites.
  • Bridges Café:
    • Located in Section 115-  Featuring the Birmingham Cubano-a-Brisket Grilled Cheese as well as many other game day favorites.
  • Lady Electra:
    • Located in Sections 101 & 126 – Featuring Cocktails, Wine, assorted draft and canned beers.
  • Steel Town Taproom:
    • Located in Section 108 – Featuring Local Craft Beers from all over Birmingham and the Surrounding areas.
  • Box Car Brewhouse:
    • Located in Section 120 – Large assortment of Domestic, Premium and Craft beers.

Mobile Ticketing
With Ticketmaster’s SafeTix™ Your Phone Is Your Ticket – Accessing your Squadron tickets is easy!

  1. Sign in to your “Account Manager” at am.ticketmaster.com/BHMbasketball and select your game.

You can use the same email and password for both your Birmingham Squadron Basketball ticket account and your Ticketmaster account.

No existing Ticketmaster account? No problem. Just click “Sign Up” and create an account using the same email address you used when purchasing your tickets.

  1. Holding tickets for others? Select the “Transfer” button and send tickets directly to them so you can meet at your seats.
  2. You can access tickets directly from Account Manager, but we strongly encourage you to add tickets to your phone’s digital wallet (Apple Wallet or Google Pay).

Please note that your tickets will not be accessible in the Ticketmaster app.

  1. If using Apple Wallet, you’ll be able to simply “tap and go” to get in at the gate. Tap and go is coming soon to Google Pay.

If you are experiencing any issues with your mobile ticket please visit the Legacy Arena Box Office located at the A Entry Gate.

Merchandise
The Squadron retail location will be available inside the A-Entry Gate Front Atrium by the Legacy Arena Box Office as a cashless operation.  A Squadron Retail kiosk will be located on the concourse at Section 105.

COVID-19 WARNING
PLEASE NOTE: For some seats with close proximity to the court and players (specifically floor seats), G-League COVID protocols will apply. Specifically, seats within 15 feet of the court, players, benches, and scorer’s table will need to show proof of full COVID vaccination or a negative PCR or Antigen test within 48 hours of tip-off. YOU MUST FOLLOW ALL FACILITY POLICIES, INCLUDING HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICIES, AND POSTED INSTRUCTIONS WHILE IN THE FACILITY AND ON FACILITY GROUNDS.

Fan Health Promise
All ticketholders must agree that neither they, nor any of their guests, will attend the game if they have tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the game, or, unless they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (as defined by the CDC), any of the following is true on the game date:

Within the prior 14 days, they have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or are subject to a federal or local travel or quarantine advisory due to COVID-19;

  • Within the prior 48 hours, they have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., fever of 100.4⁰F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms identified by the CDC) (anyone who is fully vaccinated but experiences any of the above symptoms within 48 hours before the game should nevertheless consult a healthcare provider and get tested for COVID-19 before attending).
  • Please note: According to the CDC, older adults and people of any age with serious underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk of death or severe illness from COVID-19. All guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend a game.
